My business is moving premises. What do I need to do?

Moving to new premises

To arrange your company's relocation or expansion into additional premises, you'll need the following information:

  • The new address
  • The date you need your contract to start
  • The EAN code(s) and meter number(s) of the electricity and/or gas meter(s)
  • The electricity and/or gas meter readings (if the meter is one that you can read yourself, please take a reading on the day you receive the key).

You should record this information in an energy transfer document together with the previous user. Both parties must sign the document. The energy transfer document is the only valid proof of the correct meter readings. You can find the forms and our contact details via the button below.

Leaving your old premises

We'll arrange termination of your billing. To do this, we need the following information:

  • Details of the new occupant
  • The date you are leaving the building
  • The electricity and/or gas meter readings (if the meter is one that you can read yourself, please take a reading on the day you hand over the key).

You should record this information in an energy transfer document together with the new occupant. Both parties must sign the document. Send us the document within five days following your move.
If there is no new occupant and the meters need to be closed, you should contact us. We request a demand for switching off the meters. Once this is accepted, you can contact your distribution system operator (DSO) to arrange for someone to come and switch off the meters. It's best to do this before you leave. ENGIE will draw up the final invoice after receiving the validated meter data from your DSO.
